Apple....the never ending innovation !Last night 1/9/2010, Apple has officially introduce all new designs for iPod, iTouch and Apple TV. In this blog, I will personally introduce about the iPod Nano which really amazed me!
The new iPod Nano, which had been rumored for weeks, was confirmed Wednesday by Apple Chief Executive Steve Jobs. He boasted that the new device is almost half as small and half as light as its predecessor. "It's so small, we're able to put a clip on it too, so it's instantly wearable," he said.
Apple Users can swipe through to choose icons including music playlists, artists and Genius mixes. It also has FM radio, podcasts, and the ability to view photos. Like on other iOS devices, users can move icons and drag them to different pages. The device also allows users to scroll as they perform on their iPhone or iPod touch.
The device includes hard volume buttons, voiceover, Nike+ and a pedometer. It works in 29 languages. Multi-touch input can also be used to rotate the screen. With this function, we can show off the songs that make our days
Who said we can't custom our home screen, the new Nano proves that anything is possible. the iPod nano also features "Shake to Shuffle," giving music lovers the ability to shake their iPod nano to shuffle to a new song in their music library.
With its built-in FM radio, iPod nano lets you listen to your favorite radio stations, and live pause lets you pause and resume playing your favorite FM radio shows without missing a beat. This function remained still like the previous generation, serving the AM/FM audiences.
There are six colours for this generation, A$199 for the 8GB, and A$229 for the 16GB. The internal battery provides users with up to 24 hours of music playback on a single charge. So far the price has no changes compares to the previous one.
One function has been removed and upset me at last is the amazing video caption was eliminated! Without the function, we no longer are able to raise ours iPod up to capture amazing clips in such urgent moment.
So far so sad, I decided not to buy it and instead save the Money for iPhone White. Anyone with me or you reckon the touch functions can replace the video function? Feel free to leave comments and blog about the new Apple products.

I was amazed that Apple have launched an updated product, with FEWER features than the previous model! The last nano has video capture and video playback, this one has neither of these features. Sure, it's small and cute, but removing features is surely a DOWNGRADE, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI'll be watching the sentiment out there to see if the multitouch screen makes up for these shortfalls.
@ Wags: There is somethings doesnt make sense for me when I look at their pricing strategy. Same price for less function Nano and same price for more function iTouch...
ReplyDeleteWhat are they really after?
Simple... buy another one! I've got three ipods, and I'm now considering buying a fourth one.
ReplyDeleteIt's not about the price. Apple fans focus on "shiny new toys", not $$$.
What do others think?
@Wag: I reckon so many old iTouch still on sale but with the same price at Apple Store...still wonder why dont they drop the price for the old 1 already?
ReplyDeleteHow can they make the sale out of it without dropping the old one! I'm expecting they will drop those by 50%
