Never Ending Blog <(^ ^,)>

After learning and implementing those ‘so-called’ techniques of internet marketing, I come to a conclusion on e-Marketing.
First, e-Marketing is a zero-cost tools that allow businesses to attract customers all over the world. The potential  impacts are infinite. Additionally,  it is not really hard to market any businesses, services and products online. With some basic website-design skills and a creative mind, we are capable of making differences to attract customers

But why there are so many people still failed to make their first dollar or sale online?

It's pointess to mention the marketing techniques. I believe the reason why many people failed to make money online is they have spreaded themselves too thin. They are in every little marketing techniques and since they are a one-man show team, they can’t possibly catch up the changing landscape.

What can we do about it?

Observation is the key. Look at what works for big companies online and offline, study their business model, how their marketing process is like. Do they build a list and offer product backend? Or do they do up front promotion and sell them high ticket in the back end? What if they have sell physical product? Do they use internet to draw leads, do online promotion and branding?

Therefore, instead of looking for the magic bullet of e-Marketing, we should crictisize which and how a business model will work for us. E-Marketing is not hard, it is just part of the overall business that you are running.

All these have different model but the marketing technique for each one is the same.
Good luck to all you guys. Hope you gonna dominte this exam.

P/s: some of the guys in subject are going to launched their new business online. Give it sometimes to explore the "New Venture". The link below will lead you to the practical example of what we learnt.

Orabrush (Part 1)

About The Company:
Robert Wagstaff, PhD, received word that some of the volunteers he was managing were offending people with bad breath. Dr. Bob started studying the causes of bad breath to find a solution. Borrowing from principles he learned while working in a chemical lab, he decided that the only way to remove the bacteria that cause bad breath from the tongue was with soft, flexible, pointed bristles. Dr. Bob looked at the products out on the market. He found tongue scrapers, toothbrushes, and other such oral hygiene products, but none of them could remove the bacteria. In fact, these merely scraped the top of the bacteria, causing bad breath to resurface faster. (http://www.orabrush.com/store/en/aboutus.php

Social Network For Music <(^^,)>

Anyone who didn't update their itunes to the latest version - Tunes 10 - it is now live and available for download. The update allow you to follow your favourite artists and become part of their inner circle.

Getting Started:

First , download the new iTunes. Once it's installed, you;ll notice a new link under the iTunes Store tab on the left side of the iTunes interface. The Ping Tab is inconspicuous as it is exciting.

Participants can log in with their existed account and enjoy this new approach right away. Once u have signed in, you are about to customise your profile as exactly you did with Facebook and Twitter. Personal display image are also available to differentiate yourself. Additionally you can “like” up to three genres. As almost everyone likes a few more than three genres. So far, I see it quite restrictive.
After that, you get to make some privacy choices. You can specify how music you like, rate and review is displayed on your profile; you can also decide whether or not people can follow you and if they need your approval to follow you. Even if you don’t allow others to follow you, you can still follow anyone you like. It’s a fairly common asymmetric friendship model, much like Twitter’s.
You can also choose to connect your profile on Ping to your Facebook profile, if you wish. Once your accounts are connected, you can also follow your Facebook friends on Ping, too.

Already, Ping has some “Artists We Recommend You Follow,” among them, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Eminem, Glee Cast, etc. These don’t seem to be connected in any way to individual users’ purchasing habits or iTunes library contents. It’s a shame these recommendations aren’t based on available user data yet.

Playing with Ping:

Once you’re in and set up, you’ll see a stream of recent activity. You can think of it in a couple ways. First, it’s a music-only version of your Facebook news feed. Second, it’s a huge recommendation — one that might work pretty well if your friends, or at least the people you follow on Ping, have similar taste in music.
You can comment on and like others’ activities. When you click through to another user’s profile, you’ll also see a run-down of his or her recent activities.
The artist Ping profiles show an activity stream as well as upcoming concerts and a few other links. Nonetheless, the entire Ping artist interface contains built-in music-selling features. Artists can also upload photos, videos and text updates, something we haven’t yet been able to do as non-artists. It's believed that regular users are limited to comments on your and others’ activity only for now.

The other part of running a social network inside a desktop app is that it’s cripplingly slow. It's something that might seriously inhibit the platform’s growth. You can search for artists, people or both. Either the search function is purely busted, or iTunes hasn’t got a large enough repertoire of artists on board with Ping yet. Artists have both their iTunes Store pages and Ping profiles. "Ping search takes you to the former, which isn’t quite intuitive".

However, exploiting this Ping can be fun. It's hard to refuse Apple's innovation. Simply we love Apple. Hope Ping will strike just like Apple did

Ambient Ads

Lately, Michele (Chatter Box) has inspired me with Ambients Ads Blog Post. There are few remarkable ads that actually captured my attention

The billboard is strategically positioned on a promenade. It has an unspoiled view of the sea and skyline behind it. The woman’s hair is die-cut in the billboard to capture the variations of Koleston Naturals colors through the different phase of the day and night.

This is a brilliant idea but I have my doubt about the effectiveness. A person who observes the billboard at different times of day can really appreciate such an innovative concept. But for others it will be just another billboard.

In Australia you can create your own personlised stamps to celebrate special occasions such as engagements, the birth of a baby, or to send as greetings to friends and loved ones.

This is an ambient campaign by Australia Post to promote Personlised Stamps where posters with a small mirror are placed on bus stops. People standing in front of the envelope can see their images as stamp which conveys the personalised stamp. A simple and nice idea.

I don’t know why but toliet seems to be a hot place for guerilla campaigns. This is a clever marketing idea where images were placed on hand dryers in toilets to make the statement that Wolf Sauce is so “Hot”. Very funny and hard to ignore.

This has to be one of the cleverest ambient campaign. Perfect placement. The picture says it all.

Lastly, it is not quite an ambient ads. What would you do to make it is???

"All New...Totally Amazing"

       Apple....the never ending innovation !

Last night 1/9/2010, Apple has officially introduce all new designs for iPod, iTouch and Apple TV. In this blog, I will personally introduce about the iPod Nano which really amazed me!
The new iPod Nano, which had been rumored for weeks, was confirmed Wednesday by Apple Chief Executive Steve Jobs. He boasted that the new device is almost half as small and half as light as its predecessor. "It's so small, we're able to put a clip on it too, so it's instantly wearable," he said.
Apple Users can swipe through to choose icons including music playlists, artists and Genius mixes. It also has FM radio, podcasts, and the ability to view photos. Like on other iOS devices, users can move icons and drag them to different pages. The device also allows users to scroll as they perform on their iPhone or iPod touch.
The device includes hard volume buttons, voiceover, Nike+ and a pedometer. It works in 29 languages. Multi-touch input can also be used to rotate the screen. With this function, we can show off the songs that make our days

Who said we can't custom our home screen, the new Nano proves that anything is possible. the iPod nano also features "Shake to Shuffle," giving music lovers the ability to shake their iPod nano to shuffle to a new song in their music library.
With its built-in FM radio, iPod nano lets you listen to your favorite radio stations, and live pause lets you pause and resume playing your favorite FM radio shows without missing a beat. This function remained still like the previous generation, serving the AM/FM audiences.
There are six colours for this generation, A$199 for the 8GB, and A$229 for the 16GB. The internal battery provides users with up to 24 hours of music playback on a single charge. So far the price has no changes compares to the previous one.

One function has been removed and upset me at last is the amazing video caption was eliminated! Without the function, we no longer are able to raise ours iPod up to capture amazing clips in such urgent moment.
So far so sad, I decided not to buy it and instead save the Money for iPhone White. Anyone with me or you reckon the touch functions can replace the video function? Feel free to leave comments and blog about the new Apple products.

         Have Fun Blogging!

Drive the Wheel not Wheel Driven !!!

 Good Day Drivers !!!
Accidents are an never ending nightmare we all know that BUT why we still don't pay attention or even we failed to make it last. Parental education or Friend Influences make you pay attention while driving and keep your head on the road? I believe friends will supervise when am driving and Parents don't.

How many of you guys driving on a country road at over 100km/h and by the time we realise the road you are driving on now requiring you to "GIVE WAY" to another road, is too late? Been there done that and I'm way lucky to stay alive because the road was quite. Since the last time I experienced, the only words I split out is "Phew"...not quite an awareness is this?

Lately I discovered the Government  had done many excellent campaign to rise drivers' awareness of road safety. It's not about the fine but your life. The life you can save can be yours one day! Here's the piece of video clip that I believe it has touched many drivers:

In particular, Australian Government also done a great jobs in promoting the Road Safety Awareness. I still remember there are many billboards along the Freeway  such as Mobile Phone Accident, Wife and Kids waiting  for dad to be home safely, etc... I hope these video might give you some familiarity of the campaign:

BE Visible...Be Online

Being visible is the key to any successful online endeavour, as if you aren't an active member of a social networking community, there's little chance of you being noticed by potential employees.Create a presence by being in the right place at the right time. Knowing where your ideal audience is already active is essential in finding potential employees. Other important online resources include recruiting agencies, industry related forums, message boards and other discussion channels. However, we could be recognised via Youtube - the World Biggest Video Sharing Website. Posting personalised video on youtube is one way to show off our creativity as such as our talent. Applying this technology can also be called the Self Promoting!!!
How many of you train your dog with the help of Books or Expensive dog trainer !!! I personally train mine Jo with the Zak George's help (Yes, it's totally free...it's on youtube). There are many school for dog that we can bring ours to, however the question is "are they worth the money?". You can have the answer only when you spend the money have experience it...With online trainer, you can tell how good are they training dogs. For people who just have your first dog, please give this clip a go:

Being recognised as a professional dog trainer, what benefit Zak can get. I can tell you straight away that he became a star (host) on SuperFetch - a show on Animal Planet. SuperFetch aimed to challenge people to work and connect with their dogs in ways they never have before. The prime time series reached and inspired more people than ever to live life in a new fulfilling way with their dogs. The networks agreed that this was something special. Zak was asked to appear on countless national television shows to talk about this new and different philosophy. The Rachael Ray Show, The Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, The Early Show, Fox and Friends, countless news outlets and many more were requesting Zak to come on and talk about this revolution in dog training.

Zak was kind of celebrity endorsor for dt world frisbee (www.dtworld.com) as when we are checking out for Frisbees with Zak George on the Coupon, we will get 10% discount !!!. Now on his own channel, selling 10$ for a customised frisbee with his signature and his dog on it. Are you guys now? Here are some of the kool video and you can teach you dog now. Feel free to leave comment whether it's helpful or not !!!.

Comparative Advertising Campaign !!!

In the 20th century, Microsoft was leading the technology market. Unfortunately in this 21st century, young designers really have a shot to stand up and introduce the world with an outstandingly wonderful software as Mac OS. While the competitions is getting tougher, Mac is likely to win the race with its fashionable design and an awesome software. The method that Apple marketers used to promoted its product against Microsoft is very much clever. In every ads, a fashionable Mac OS is directly compared to out-of-date Microsoft; the message is sent directly, meaningful but totally not outrageous. Here is one of many Ads that Apple used to reveal its strengths when they come to the Technology War with Microsoft:

Following the advantage given in the message, Wii also apply this campaign against Play Station. In this ads, Sex Appeal was released to enforce the chance that viewers will take the message into account:

What do you guys say about this type of ads?
I appreciate this Apple ads, but if it's copied to promote other products, I don't believe that will give an promising outcome.
